Varico was created in September 1988. Rafał Łożyński had the idea to start up his own business when he had graduated from the Communications Department of the Poznań University of Technology. He continued studying at the Computer Science Department. At the begining, the company Varico was called Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe Varico but on 23 March 1991, Rafał Łożyński started a one proprietor business under the name of Pracownia Usług Informatycznych Varico Software & Hardware mgr inż. Rafał Łożyński. At the very beginning, there was only one person - Rafał Łożyński, who was responsible for everything: designing, programming, sale, service, marketing etc. Nowadays, Varico is divided into a few departments:
- The Designing and Programming Department
- The Department of Sale, Implementation and Service
- The Marketing Department
Our mission
Varico is a highly competitive IT producer, targeting its products at the small and medium size companies market. We tend to be the provider of high quality and user friendly programs, as well as services and information. Our aim is to make use of our energy and creativity, just to satisfy the needs of our clients. It may be well illustrated by the slogan: "...One Stop Source for Software".
The Headquarters
Because of the growing demand, on the developing Polish market, in September 1991 our company decided to establish an office at 39 Przemysłowa Street in Poznań. That time, the first employee was taken on. In February 1994, the company moved to 19 Bułgarska Street in Poznań. Two years later the place appeared to be too small, because of the development of Varico. In February 1996, the company moved to a house at the corner of Grunwaldzka and Włodkowica Streets in Poznań. Nowadays, there are twenty-five employees at the headquarters in Poznań.
The branches
Bydgoszcz - in order to target a new group of clients, in February 1994, we decided to open a new branch in Bydgoszcz. Robert Dondajewski became the Manager of the branch. He had had the possibility to learn how the company works when he was a trainee in Varico in Poznań. Becoming familiar with the company's activities, he decided to open a branch in Bydgoszcz. The branch is situated in the center of the city. In 1995, two people were employed there, and since 2003 there have been four people employed in The Department of Sale, Implementation and Service.
Kalisz - Varico continues to develop and expand. In September 1997, we set up a new branch in Kalisz. Aleksander Jakubowski became the Manager of the branch. It employs two people in The Department of Sale and Service.
Warszawa - in April 2006 the Kalisz branch has moved to Warszawa. From now, Varico is present in the capitol of Poland, with broad horizons and new possibilities.
The names of brands
In 1992, we registered Varico name in the Patent Office. In 1997 we introduced our logo: a human head with a monitor in the background. These are the names of all our accountancy and personnel management programs:

The Quality System ISO 9001
In March 2000, the Quality System of Varico was verified by the auditors from the DET NORSKE VERITAS company. They found our Quality System working well and effectively, confirming high standard of our products and service. It is important to mention that Varico was the first IT producer that introduced international quality norms ISO 9001. Since the year 2000 we have applied the process attitude towards quality management. In March 2003, the Quality System of Varico was re-certificated with new updated version of quality norms ISO 9001:2000.
The company's offer
Varico is the producer of accountancy, finance and personnel managing programs for small and medium size companies. The first program was sold in 1991. It is the program for the simplified accountancy: Książka Przychodów i Rozchodów KPiR®. The module for commission contracts: Umowy Zlecenia was added to it in 1992 (July). The module for employees management: Rozliczenia Pracowników was added in 1993 (March). Nowadays, the two modules are sold as Rozliczenia Płac RP. The program for the general accountancy: Księga Handlowa KsH® was made in 1991r. It manages the whole process of accountancy in companies. The program used in sale management: Obsługa Sprzedaży ObSp® was first sold in February 1994. It helps in managing the sale process in companies. In April 1998, we introduced a Human Resources managing program VARICO PERSONA®. The program works in Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP Environment. It started a new line of Varico products designed to graphic environments. VARICO LIBER® was the second program in the Windows program family. It was specially designed for manage the accountancy of companies.
The New Technology
We started creating Web applications in 2001. Our main idea, is to create programs, that would satisfy the requirements of very demanding clients. Our applications can be used for presenting products / services, maintaining business processes (also a small CRM), integrating back office software. The main advantages cover low cost (based on Open Source software) and easy configuration especially the visual part of the application. We called our Web applications INFInet System.
Products means INFInet System
This is a family of products. They can use the same database and share some data among them. We have the following applications in the family:
- INFInet CRM is a contact management software. All kind of events are registered and managed.
- INFInet eShop is also a part of INFInet CRM. It is aimed at producers and dealers to present their products and also services. Every product has different attributes e.g. picture, dimensions, wage, pressure. An user can easily manage and search database of products.
- INFInet eLearning – e-learning application; created in order to train employees or students effectively,
All applications are multilingual and can be easily changed and enhanced. Applications are installed on the server (Windows, Linux) and are used through WWW browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla). An user can easily personalize visual parts of the application (e.g. colors). We use standard elements: menu, data browsers, dialogs that also can be easily changed through HTML templates. Our software is based on Open Source software so our clients do not have to buy any licenses to use it. The application is multilingual. PHP code, database fields and comments are in English.
